We've had this blender for a couple years now. In the first 6 months, the rubber gasket got sliced up and needed to be replaced ($2) and 2 months ago, the blender jar got cracked to the point where it's leaking ($15). Even though it has a 3 year warranty, it wasn't covered by either of these problems.

Overall, great at making smoothies, as long as you add enough liquid to get it going. You may have to shake/stir the chunks at first, but after that, it works great, and the "wave-action" really does work.

I probably would've given it 4+ stars if it was more durable, or if the replacement parts were covered under warranty.

Used it for the first time today and I'm taking it back today! It's the loudest blender I've ever heard, the spout leaks and it takes a long time to get going. I filled it half full with frozen berries, fresh strawberries, OJ, pineapple and banana chunks. Turned it on... LOUD, but no movement. I put in more OJ, shook it... turned it on... no movement. Finally after trying several times and stiring it with a wooden spoon I was able to get it to blend.

I think it goes back to getting what you paid for. If you want a good blender, you have to put out a little more money.

This is truly truly the best blender I have ever owned. It works great. It makes great smoothies and it crushes ice very well. It was a great price has a great look and is a complete winner all the way around. I would buy it again if anything happened to my blender because it is that good of a product.

To replace this gasket, where the clear top attaches to the base unit, is a pain and/or expensive. I've been to three small appliance repair places... no gasket fits. I've been to the large national home repair places... nothing but generic replacement parts.

As a blender, It's GREAT! To me though, it's not worth the hassel of trying to find replacement parts.

I have had many blenders in my day and this is by far the best I've had. Luckily I bought it on clearance at Sears for under fifteen. I can literally make a smoothie in under 5 minutes including prep time with this thing. The other day I blended a handful of strawberries, cut a whole banana in thirds, added some plain yogurt, few sprinkles of ginger, and a little pure pineapple juice. So refreshing! Is it worth thirty or fifty? Yes, because it blends well and very fast, contents are very smooth, smooth enough that I just poured some in my daughters spongebob sippy straw cup. I rarely use ice in any of my smoothies, i prefer frozen fruit for coldness instead, thus I have not tried it with ice, but I'm sure it'd be no problem. Cheers!

Love it! Best blender I've used, shakes come out great and not watery. Haven't used the spout though.

I have loved this blender for a year. However, after hitting the 1 year mark the spout stopper broke, the plastic jar cracked and the motor is starting to make strange sounds. Granted I did use it everyday for a year and washed it in a dishwasher. Still I think that a blender should last a bit longer.

I hate making a smoothie and having ice chunks, this one has an angled blade shaft that makes the vortex hit the side instead of straight up. That causes the larger ice chunks to fall down and get chopped up. Great for icecream too!

The blender worked ok, but broke after 3 years. I called Hamilton B, and they would not replace it and said they did not have a part to help. She said cars dont work after awhile...whatever, I want my next blender to not fill a landfill after 3 years. Get a nice brand that stands behind their work.
