It's great in every way (but see below!).

The sticking switch problem I had earlier is gone!

Veggies that don't work for me in this juicer:

oranges
pineapple
- too much bitter pulp included

pears
bananas
- too much like a puree

Mango: killed appliance.

Update: 1/16/08. Bad news and good news:

The bad news is that the plastic latches are too weak.

I was juicing a mango and at at the end it gave a great shudder and the locking latches blew to bits!

The manual mentions mangoes and says only that they be peeled, I did nothing wrong.

The good news: I called up Hamilton Beach, and without fuss they arranged for a
free replacement ($5.50 shipping, that's ok).

While I was at it, I upgraded to the 67650 model, with metal latches, for $10.

So don't get this one, get the other one here:
Hamilton Beach 67650 Big Mouth Pro Juice Extractor, Chrome

The customer service is outstanding.

This is essentially the same design as 67650 with less expensive construction (more plastic than metal). They suffer from the same common design flaws: small cutting plate, small basket, and the honeycomb filter is too fine. The problem with small cutting plate is that there are fewer cutting "teeth" and slower rotation velocity toward the edge. Combined with the "big mouth," the motor will slow down significantly when a large amount of food goes down the throat. The problem with small basket is that pulp does not get hydrated enough before flying out of chute. The smaller area also makes cleaning more frequent. The problem with overly find honeycomb mesh filter is that is get clogged easily. Once it is clogged, the juicing efficiency is greatly reduced.

After using three different brands of juicers through the years, I read several reviews on various other juicers as well as the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juicer. I discovered that the size of the motor was important to maximum juice extraction amd minimum juice left in the pulp. The big feed shute was also attractive to me. This juicer is the best one I've had!

Excellent product for the money. If you're getting into juicing and don't want to spend a ton of money, this is the way to go.

I became a vegetarian 3 months ago and this is my first juicer. After researching for a juicer I decided on the Hamilton Beach 67600 and I'm so glad that I did! It works wonderfully and so easy to clean!

I waited to review this until I'd owned it for some time and could attest to its durability. After several months of frequent use, I can now say it has held up marvelously and does an excellent job of juicing everything fruit and vegetable I've tried, with no exception. One small grip: the juice doesn't always flow completely into the cup I place in front of the nozzle. It sometimes leaks a bit to the side, no matter what type/size cup or glass I use. But it's such a small amount, I barely even consider it an inconvenience. It's very time-consuming to clean the machine, but I've found that to be true of every juicer so cannot in clear conscience blame only this one. Most of it fits into the dishwasher but one large piece does not and also the basket must be scrubbed with a brush by hand -- but again, that's typical of juicers.

I was looking to replace my old juicer because my last one didn't work well at all. The clean up was painfull. I was ready to move on. I saw this juicer and I liked the price. With tax I paid around $50.00 bucks for it.

This juicer is loud or at least the one that I have is very loud. I have an eight month old in the house. He was around three months when I bought this juicer. The cord is an ok length.

This juicer leaves to much juice in the pulp. The clean up isn't bad if you clean up as soon as you are done I mean ASAP or it will be soak time in the kitchen sink for your removable parts.

Lets not forget that their is almost no stainless steel on this unit. It kinda has a cheap feel and look to it. The color is white with a smoke gray color. It does juice small hold apples very quickly. On the other hand you don't have to do to much cutting of your fruit. You can put most veggies and fruit in hold.

My next juicer will be a professional one. I hardly use mines because it has too many removeable parts to clean up and with a baby in the house that takes up time that I really just don't have. However, the parts do seem to come apart very easy which is good.

All in all it's an ok juicer for the money that I paid. I also have two years insurance on mines. When I saw it I noticed that it had alot of plastic parts and that worried me a bit.

If you are looking for a juicer that has more stainless steel or stainless steel parts then this juicer is not for you. If you are looking for an ok juicer that will get the job done then get this. Just do not pay over $50.00 bucks for it its not worth more than that.

Those of you in the market for a juicer know already that there is quite a gulf between the low and the high end. The "best" juicers seem to be in the triple digit price range while "everything else," though affordable, seems to be fraught with poor design schemes or poor performance. I had hope that the Hamilton Beach name and the $69 price point MIGHT even out to make a decent juicer. Unfortunately, this is not the case.

The device works extremely well. The motor is very powerful and it will juice just about anything you put through it. Ginger. Parsnips. Even almonds. Clean up is the usual hassle but you can get into routine. The chord is VERY short but...again... I wasn't looking for industrial quality.

If these were the only problems, I would be praising the Big Mouth. Sadly, the machine is designed to have the steel mesh strainer (the where the "business" of juicing occurs) sit atop a plastic basket. What this means is that modest, completely understandly "pushing" with the "pusher" will cause the mesh basket to make contact with the plastic. This leads to the delightful smell of burning plastic and to the eventual warping of the basket itself.

When this happened the first time, I had only had the device a few weeks. So I assumed I had done something wrong. Hamilton Beach kindly sent a replacement basket (wrong color, but that's ok). This time, the device lasted another two months before the same problems cropped up. The problem of steel-plastic contact JUST started so I rubbed a little olive oil around the lip of the contact area and that MIGHT buy me a few days before warping.

Hamilton Beach is "unaware" of any design flaws and suggests that I am washing the item in too-hot of water!
