I've had good success in using this slow-cooker. The features I like:

*The glass lid makes it easy to see how the food is doing without letting the heat escape.

*The crock itself is a nice black color and is easy to keep in the fridge if you want to prepare ingredients the night before or keep leftovers in the same pot.

*The keep warm setting is great for serving food, especially at a party

*The outside is a nice looking brushed silver

I've used this pot when I'm away from home and haven't had any problems. I always follow a recipe's directions for the length of time to cook my meals, and I haven't had any problems with burning. I've had it for 5 years now and it is still going strong.

My only complaint is that the rubber ring used to keep the lid on when traveling broke after three uses, which was too bad, because it was a nice feature. However, it's not something I use very often, so I consider this a minor drawback.

I purchased this to replace a fancier and more expensive Rival slow cooker which was completely worthless, overpriced and extremely poorly made.

This Hamilton Beach cooker is a perfect example of "less is more". Not a whole lot of bells and whistles, but unless you need much more than "high, low and keep warm", this is the perfect cooker for you.

Reliable heat, great 7 qt. capacity, attractive brushed (no fingerprints) exterior, and really nice "keep warm" feature is nice for buffet parties without drying out or overcooking the meal.

This slow cooker is labeled as a 7 quart capacity, but only holds 5 quarts when filled to the level that the manufacturer recommends for cooking (1 inch from the rim). The metal is somewhat thin and flimsy. The slow cooker cooks and functions well. For the price I paid ($23.99 Free shipping) it is a very good slow cooker. I ordered a 7 quart slow cooker and received a 5 quart capacity slow cooker which was labeled as a 7 quart capacity but can only hold 5 quarts at maximum capacity. If this slow cooker were sold to me labeled as a 5 quart capacity I would have given it a higher rating. I am displeased with the manufacturer for misrepresenting the true capacity of the slow cooker.

This is out third slow cooker and by far the best, we have done more things in it and taken it to parties. Experiment with it and you will find uses you never thought possible. Very sturdy, easy to clean, look nice on counter while cooking and serving dish is very handy. A perfect product designed to be used and a great value.

This is my first slow cooker - i couldn't decide on the size since i live alone and wasnt sure if the 7qt would be too big. It is perfect i like to cook a lot of stuff and freeze food for later. It works great, looks greats and washes easily. I can believe how easy it is to cook with this - would definately recommend this to anyone looking to save time in the kitchen but not sacrafice the quality of home cooked foods.

nothing special, but it is bigger than most pots. Works as advertised with no bells and whistles. We had a fancy digital crock pot and it would keep turning off after four hours, so to slow cook overnight didn't work.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. He made us a pot roast in it and it tasted great and the crock pot itself was very simple to use.

I decided to go with this particular model for a number of reasons. The most important being that it does not have the rubber seal around the lid, like the other "stow and go" models. Many people complained of a smell remaining inside of the rubber, so I went with one that wouldn't have the same problem.

The price on this product is very reasonable and I liked that this model doesn't have a bunch of bells and whistles. Once you started adding all these different kinds of functions and features, then it just becomes too complicated. Crock pots were made to be simple and that's what I like about this model.
