I am so excited!,

My girlfriend and I picked out this food prossessor and we tried out right away. It chops well and the shredding blade works great shredding cheese. We also made home made salsa. It was exactly what I was looking for in a food processor. Some may say it is a bit loud but it does not bother me. I bought it at walmart for $54.88 I am really enjoying it!

I bought this at Walmart for $30, and was prepared to live with any deficiencies it may have had in view of the bargain price I paid. After 2 months of use, I am absolutely thrilled with the performance, and I found nothing to gripe about. In fact, I'm feeling rather smug about the fact that this processor does everything that much higher priced models do, and I got it for next to nothing. While I find that Amazon more often than not has the best prices available, they seem to have gone off the track on this one. However, I appreciate their openness in allowing us to post comments on products purchased elsewhere.

I bought this product at WalMart about a year ago to replace a much smaller Hamilton Beach food processor. I use it primarily for making cole slaw so was pleased with its size and overlooked the few detractions that I found. I was however concerned about the three different switches that will prevent operation especially that they were primarily plastic. Yesterday after prepping the cabbage for the processor, it would not operate at all. I tried numerous times to verify that the switches were making up properly but to no avail. After using this appliance less than a dozen times, it is junk. I will never buy another Hamilton Beach product again!

Purchased this at a local kitchen outlet store on sale for $39.99! Took it home and made a delicious salsa and a spinach dip. Both turned out great with a perfect consistency. The processor was easy to use and powerful. I was very impressed and can't wait to use it more.

Even though I got this for a STEAL at Walmart ($35), it was still NOT worth it. Where do I start? Besides being somewhat noisy and requiring too many parts to put in place just to operate the thing, the design of this product fails in two other major places. The blade design does not draw larger pieces down to be chopped - they end up floating on top of what is finely mashed at the bottom of the container. And secondly and most importantly, you CANNOT fill the container all the way to make use of the "14-cup" design as anything that is close enough to liquid will fall between the motor shaft and the inner container lip which ends about 1/2 way up the container, leaking out from the bottom of the container. Just get anything besides this product is my only recommendation.

The older model of this product was awesome. I don't know what happenened. They changed the blade and now you cannot cut or chop or blend large amounts smoothly. It's aweful!

Opened this up today and washed it and started in with shredding zucchini. The blades are sturdy and the machine has great suction cups under it to secure it the countertop. Love the large opening to put larger pieces in! My older food processor was so loud I dreaded using it. This has a moderate noise level and does things so fast that it takes half of the time. Cannot wait to use this for prepping Thanksgiving turkey stuffing!

Two days til Thanksgiving, and in the middle of making my vintage recipe cranberry salad, my old faithful food processor broke. A chunk literally broke off the old bowl, a part that, missing, prevented the integrated switch from operating at all. I considered my options, and the one that won out was to throw on my rain coat and go to the local hardware store (we are a rural area) and buy whichever food processor they had in stock. There were just three to choose from, all Hamilton Beach, and because this one was on sale for $69.95, and yes, that's higher than many others paid, but consider that it's a local store without the mass buying power, took it home, washed it up, and transferred the half-chopped contents of the old processor to this new one. Bear in mind that I am a brand snob in many things, and my old one was pretty much top-of-the-line, although quite old. The Hamilton Beach is not nearly as heavy, has suction cups to keep it in place, has a quieter operation, and it worked just fine. My one "minus" is that I thought, "Hmmm! 14 cups!" and piled in more quartered apples than I would have put into the old one, and immediately found that while it works well with smaller quantities, it will not be wise to "load it up." I like the fact that the slicer/shredder blade stores within the bowl. Considering what my old processor cost all those years ago, I think this one is just fine for the price I paid. Had I had a selection of 20 to choose from, I might have chosen another, but as it is, I have no regrets.

I'm very happy with my food processor. It's just want I wanted. I needed it for just the basic chopping, and shredding and it works great. I'm very pleased with Amazon as well. They are fast with delivering merchandise.
