This can opener is the bane of my existance. It's nearly impossible to get the blade to latch on to the can, so it just spins around until you take the can off, thinking it has done it's job, only to find the can is still sealed tight. As a bonus, it sheds miniscule metal shavings from the useless can-spinning, which will inevitably get stuck in your finger, requiring a magnifying glass, a bright light and a good pair of tweezers to remove.

And even then, the can is still not open.

I have owned my under the cabinet can opener now for about a year and a half and I abosolutely love it. I have never had any problems with it. It opens clean and easily. I have never liked electric can openers cause they never seem to cooperate with me. This one is so easy and I don't find all those shavings that I have seen on others. I am definitely buying another one for my daughters kitchen. I know she will love it as I do. Thank you Hamilton Beach.

This can opener broke within a short time after I installed it, but long enought after I bought it that I could not take it back to Target. It took up more space than I like and I cannot recommend it to anyone
