Paninis are great, but we hardly ever make them with this. Instead, the range of items we DO use it for is huge. Warming tortillas (flour or corn), thin chicken breasts or steak slices, english muffins and bagels, even french toast are things we've made on this. The lines give neat char marks, and it never seems to burn anything.

The floating lid matters if you have thick items, and since it cooks from both sides things heat up quick. It's actually easier to clean than the Foreman grill, with less moving parts. Cleans up very easily with a paper towel and water.

I'd have given it five stars if the temperature could be adjusted...that would have been a neat feature. Instead, it's a single temperature but it works well and feels solid. There are cheaper ones but they feel cheap...this feels solid.
