Best type of capo, screws tight to hold down all 6 strings,

I've tried many types of capos on various guitars. I have to say that this basic type works well on all of my guitars because you can really tighten it down. Other types of pinching capos don't put enough force on all the strings, which can create buzzing. This capo, however, is my favorite, yet hard to find. Buy it and try it before you spend more on any fancy capos. Or take your guitar to a store to try some out.
The metal is very durable and sturdy. I had one before (which I misplaced) and I never had any part on it break.

This Capo may not be fancy but it is inexpensive and it works great. You can spend a lot more and buy some plastic thing but this will not wear out or break on you when you need it. Easy to use, adjustable, the best.

Works great, nice even pressure across all the strings. No fret buzz. The only drawback to using this type of capo is that you are not able to move it quickly as you have to unscrew it and then readjust the capo to the neck but this is inherent to this type of capo, clamp type capos are quickly adjustable and can be clamped to the headstock when not in use but sometimes doesn't apply pressure to the strings as evenly across the fret in my experience. There are trade offs with everything.

This capo is a very simple design but it works very well. The only downfall is you cannot switch frets or remove it quickly as needed in a stage situation. But for learning or a recreational player such as myself it is the perfect product as it applies even pressure to all strings and does not create the buzzing that the pistol grip spring capos do. All in all I'd recommend it to anyone who is not needing a stage speed switching.

Really good capo. Not much to it. Very simple, inexpensive, and has a nice snug centered fit, as it should. The plastic knob-adjuster thing is kind of scary - makes me think it could break, but I've used it for almost a year and it's still solid and like new. I recommend it, especially for a new guitarist or someone with a cheap git... remember, it is metal, so be careful not to scratch up the neck of a nice guitar when putting it on or taking it off.

simple and well made and easy to use. just no fancy handles to get in the way.
good solid construction. felt pad is riveted on but rivets compress felt enough that they won't touch the neck. looks like the plastic (that contacts the strings) could be replaced in the future without too much trouble, if ever necessary.

I was a little skeptic, but this capo actually works. It "fulfills its duty as a capo." The price was excellent I definitely got my money's worth. The only thing bad that I would say about it is that it hurts my thumb and index finger from screwing and unscrewing it. To summarize it its worth the money and it is a good deal.
