I got the black dial version of this watch four years ago and it is simply a great watch. It keeps great time, is durably solid and has classic looks which never become cliche. I've worn this watch every day since I bought it and it's pleased me every one of those days. Many watches seem over-designed, crass bids for attention. The Hamilton Jazzmaster shows up the pretenders without even trying.

I got this watch a few days ago so I can't give any information about long-term performance. I love the design! It's classically elegant. It has lots of 40's-era details. Looks like something my dad would wear. Why are there so many different prices for this same watch on Amazon? Mine came with a darker brown strap, which I don't mind and the buckle is an ordinary belt buckle. What's bad? The back plate scratches very easily. The wristband does not have much clearance where it's attached to the watch. The result is a little tear on each wristband where it touches the watch. You won't notice it unless you take the watch off and bend the wristband around. On this model you can't set the date separately from the time. To change the date, you have to advance the time back or forward until the date changes. I really like this watch and feel dressed when I'm wearing it.

Purchased this watch as a Christmas gift for myself. It was all I expected and more. It is an impressive watch. I wanted a rather large watch and this one is just the right size. Of course, it keeps perfect time. I had a Hamilton watch for many years and I feel the quality of this watch is the same as my old Hamilton. I am very happy with it.
