So I recently got around to seeing this movie. First let me say, the movie is alright, kind of funny, kind of stupid, but when it gets to the last act of the film with the actual play of "Hamlet 2", that is when it gets hilarious, are mainly due to these songs that are a couple of the silliest tunes I had heard in a long time.

The main musical number, Rock Me Sexy Jesus, is one of the greatest parodies of those music tunes like from "Grease" and whatnot. I was laughing so hard just at the song let alone the stage production that goes with it in the film.

The other song on here that features prominently in the film is "Raped in the Face". It is set up like a Rent-style setting with a mixture of characters singing like Gay-Laertes and Albert Einstein.

Overall the songs are funny satires of various musical styles and eras. I enjoy it quite a bit, but it is not something that you would listen to every day like the soundtrack to "Across the Universe" or anything along those lines. It is worth picking up if you are a drama student and want great satire of American Musicals.

If you liked the movie, you'll like the soundtrack. If you haven't seen the movie, the soundtrack will probably seem goofy and out of place.
