I bought this for the hammock stand so I don't use the chair, though I tried it and it seemed ok.

When it is too cold, too hot, too windy, too dark, too much sun on my front porch, I retire to my bedroom where I have this compact portable hammock stand set up. When I'm not using it, I can push the legs further into the corner to get it out of the way. I can see it would be easy to break down and take camping or wherever to enjoy the comfort of a hammock swing anywhere.

My only warning is that when it isn't staked down into the ground it can fall over. It warns against jumping in the swing, which I was not doing, but I guess my attempts to shift my weight into a position to get up made a kind of jumping effect, and it fell, fortunately not damaging me. So now I make all my indoor hammock maneuvers very smooth and it works just great.
