Oddly Entertaining, February 2, 2006
This review is from: Hana-Kimi: For You in Full Blossom, Vol. 10 (Paperback)
I'll be the first to admit that when my friend lent me the first book in this series, I was more than a little bit skeptical. I'm normally not one to suspend my disbelief for works that aren't blatantly fantasy, but Hana Kimi got me. I still really can't understand how no one realizes that our favorite heroine is ... well... a heroine or how she would have gotten into the school in the first place, but, for some reason, it is not enough to stop me from reading. Hana Kimi manages to work a cute romance into a very odd situation. Nakajo also creates some very interesting characters, many so that you can't help getting attached to them. I found it hard not to want Izumi to go back to high jumping or to get excited for Mizuki. Despite the fact that Mizuki is kind of a stalker, I enjoyed the stories and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a nice, light-hearted romance.
