5.0 out of 5 stars A great thriller
This book was one of the best thrillers in years. I am not sure why it has not been the most talked about book this year. The characters are stimulating and the suspense is riveting. It may not be literature but if you want to relax and be taken away from reality for a short time, curl up with this book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Complicated plot, but good read nonetheless
Simpson's book is probably too complicated for its own good, but this should stand as testament to his abilities as a writer. Never does the book become hard to follow. In fact, it reads quite quickly. I finished it in a day or two and have since ordered more books by the same author (as it is my understanding that previous outings are more literary). 5.0 out of 5 stars TERRIFIC THRILLER TIMES TWO!, May 8, 2000
This review is from: The Hancock Boys (Mass Market Paperback)
i completely agree with jason and i have no idea what book those other two reviewers read but it most definitely was not this reallllly good suspense thriller! i loved this book! parts of it made me laugh out loud while other parts just completely riveted me and had me turning the pages as fast as i could read them! the characters are fantastic and the plot is quite original! this will shorten any plane ride, keep you up at night and give you several hours of pleasure! i can't wait for the next one, 'the editor' for another thrilling ride on simpson's literary rollercoaster!

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent novel of suspense!, February 29, 2000

This review is from: The Hancock Boys (Mass Market Paperback)
What a great story-teller; Simpson combines dramatic action with almost literary prose. It doesn't matter that the story is free-wheeling and unlikely, his narrative style just carries you along. I have every one of his novels, why is this one a paperback? This is DEFINITELY a must-read for any serious reader of contemporary fiction.

5.0 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT READ!!!, February 7, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: The Hancock Boys (Mass Market Paperback)
This book - by FAR - has been the BEST I've read in a long, long time! I LOVED the way the author put the story together, by using 'flashbacks' here and there to get the story across and how certain characters met each other long ago, and things that happened to them long ago. The actually story itself takes place in a three day period...

This was a quick read, but also very riveting! I just did NOT want to put this book down. This one will definately be a keeper and will be read again!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Read this at least 10 years ago... Would love to re-read on the Kindle!, December 13, 2011
This review is from: The Hancock Boys (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this book a long time ago, and I still remember that it was an excellent thriller. I was on here looking for the Kindle format so that I can re-read. I hope it is on Kindle soon!

4.0 out of 5 stars You will know the end, January 2, 2004
By
This review is from: The Hancock Boys (Mass Market Paperback)
The story of this two brothers is amazing. Nevertheless you'll know the end of it at half book and that makes you lose some interest in the book. It has too many coincidences but the book will keep you reading all the time. It has to many characters and that makes the book a little hard to read. The point that I didn't like it and at the end I did, was their wife, since the start of the book I had a question: how two men can do exactly the same to a woman in bed? And the second question was: how a woman can't feel the difference between two men in bed? You will see the answer at the middle of the book. One of the answers I won't tell you which is amazing and the other is that either John and Will are really stupid or their wife is.

4.0 out of 5 stars quick and entertaining..., October 15, 2002

A nice quick read that will hold your interest when you have time to kill. It took awhile to get used to all the character points-of-view but it all came together nicely in the end.

We'll ignore the implausibility of its subject matter. This book is quite a page-turner!

5.0 out of 5 stars VERY GOOD BOOk\K, December 20, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: The Hancock Boys (Mass Market Paperback)
When I picked this book out of the racks in my local library, I thought to myself that this book wouldn't be very good at all. But I was wrong because this book is very fast paced and interesting. Just the plot is sick psychologically, but it really is a good book. I found it to be more interesting than some of the very well known horror authors.
