About the Author
Ivan Whillock is known worldwide for his expressive, masterfully designed wood carvings. His beautiful works are displayed throughout the United States as well as abroad -- including Germany, Norway, Japan and Samoa.
Ivan carves commissions for churches, businesses and homes. An excellent instructor -- he has also written numerous books and articles on wood carving.
Ivan's background includes a Master's degree in art, a study in traditional wood carving with Master Carver Eduardo Gutierrez and a study of classical sculpture with Spanish born Angel Lillo.
Wood carving students come from all over the US and Canada to study with Ivan. Because of his extensive background in art, and patient teaching style, Ivan has taught thousands of people from beginners to experienced.
