Editorial Reviews

Review

'No doubt Socrates is smiling. In Hand Rehabilitation: A Quick Reference Guide and Review, Nancy Falkenstein and Susan Weiss-Lessard use a mostly Socratic method - question and answer format - to teach a wide range of topics on hand therapy. In doing so, the authors demonstrate both their wealth of knowledge on hand therapy and their skills in teaching hand therapy. They also reveal their creativity and sense of fun' -Karen Schultz-Johnson, MS, OTR, FAOTA, CHT, Director, Rocky Mountain Hand Therapy, President, UE TECH, from the foreword --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

This book has been extremely beneficial with general review of hand therapy in a concise and interesting manner. I really like the clinical gems! It has also helped me with my study for the Certified Hand Therapy exam by giving practice questions and topics that further direct me in my studies.

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST-HAVE for the OT/PT/CHT treating the Upper Extremity, May 12, 2002
I am an OT/CHT who largely owes my success in passing the Hand Certification to the wisdom of these two brilliant authors. Using this book as a guide for studying, a quick reference for treating, and a way to test my skills and knowledge has been a phenomenal learning experience. I feel strongly that this is a necessary part of every therapist's library who treats the upper extremity. It "packs it all in" to a user friendly book with an appendix that doesn't quit. When ever these authors offer a book, a course, an online learning experience, I am first in line. This book will soon become your favorite...as I like to call it "the purple book"! You will not be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Purple Book!, November 24, 2003
By A Customer
This book made studying for the CHT exam a lot easier. It is easy to read and the authors are very responsive to people learning. They even answered questions I had before taking the exam. I am currently waiting on my test results but feel as if this book coupled with their CD-ROM "Basics and Beyond" that I was well prepared. Keeping my fingers crossed for my results soon!
