4.0 out of 5 stars Handmaster PLUS - a good tool.
I first saw the Handmaster Plus in a youtube video recommended by my brother. I bought the medium (red ball with black rubber cord) and am generally happy with it. The hand and wrist exercises demonstrated in the youtube video feel great and seem to ward off problems. I only wish I had bought the entire set, because then you can mix and match the different strength...

3.0 out of 5 stars Works Great, However Needs to be More Durable
i want to give this product four stars, but i decided to go with three after reading several reviews here and concluding that the ball part is not incredibly durable. let me start with the positive- the handmaster really works your hands and fingers, up into your wrists and forearms. since i got this product and have been using it frequently i can definitely tell that it...

This review is from: HandMaster Plus Red - Hand, Wrist, & Elbow Exerciser (Health and Beauty)
i want to give this product four stars, but i decided to go with three after reading several reviews here and concluding that the ball part is not incredibly durable. let me start with the positive- the handmaster really works your hands and fingers, up into your wrists and forearms. since i got this product and have been using it frequently i can definitely tell that it has strengthened my hands. it works very well, but of course as you get stronger you must increase your repetitions.
this brings me to the only real problem: the foam ball starts to deteriorate around the edges where the rubber strap touches it. i purchased the red/medium exerciser, and it's looking a bit rough around the edges. also you can tell that the strap starts to get worn in, which isn't too significant (and it probably feels loose because of your increased hand strength as well).

overall i think this is a great product and a great idea, but i am a bit upset that something i've only had for about a month is starting to fall apart. i don't feel too bad because it was only around $20, and it is easily replaceable. however, i don't want to keep buying these things just because i use them to death!

the handmaster definitely works but like another reviewer said, maybe the firmest one will hold up better. i plan on getting that one as i desire more strength in my hands. good stuff, maybe needs a little improvement.

The first one I got fell apart on the second day but the replacement they happily sent me has done great. It has worked so well that I have just ordered the firm one.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too much for old hands, October 29, 2011

The picture showed the hand squeezing the "soft" purple ball down to half its size. I am elderly and admit I have very weak hands but I could not even put a dent in to ball. Guess I will have to try something else and work up to this product.

I received the Handmaster Plus (medium ball) last week. Changed the elastic finger apparatus to the smaller one provided for more resistance when opening the hand. Used it for two 30 minute sessions and loved it. My hand felt stronger and the fingers more nimble.

Now the failure. During my third session today the ball literally tore apart. Totally unusable now. Very dissapointed.

This would be an incredible hand-strengthening device if the ball withstood more than 60 minutes of use. Perhaps the hardest ball will hold up?

I have been using this product for a month and there was no improvement in my Tennis Elbow problem.
I quit tennis and I still have the pain when I squeeze my wrist. HandMaster may improve my muscles but it doesn't alleviate the Tennis Elbow.
I will keep using, maybe a miracle will happened, then I will change my review.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy. Horrible quality!!!, November 20, 2011

The concept is good, but the quality of the ball is horrendous. It breaks down almost immediately and is useless. I'm appalled that Amazon would have an item created of such poor materials on their site.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Creative Invention!, January 17, 2011
This review is from: HandMaster Plus Red - Hand, Wrist, & Elbow Exerciser (Health and Beauty)
The Handmaster PlusCando Digit-Extend Hand Exerciser is just as effective as any of the other great products I've bought, like the Xtensor, the Power Web Hand Exerciser, the Cando Digit-Extend Hand Exerciser, and the Expand-Your-Hands Bands. To me, they all work super! I've used these gadgets along with icing my affected areas (elbows - tendonitis, and wrists - carpal tunnel) with ice wraps for 20 minutes, twice daily, and I am experiencing rapid healing and recovery!

This is a great hand exerciser that will save your hand and wrist from wear of video games.
