5.0 out of 5 stars Great Mate
If you have ever had your cell phone under your seat ringing, then you need this. I was given a sample at a conference and was hooked. 1.0 out of 5 stars Almost.....Almost......
Almost good. Almost works.

There are really three parts to this very thin slab of....material. The top, the bottom and its ability to stick cleanly to the car dash.

First: the Top
Works as advertised. stuff doesn't move around unless you really rock the boat and then it will go flying.

Next: The Bottom

Just lay out you coins and you are ready. I bought one for each of my employees.

This is my second pad and it works just as it says: my cell phone or my ipod are kept in place, even though I have a pretty aggressive driving style. And in case adhesion diminishes, just wiping it with a damp cloth leaves it again as new. I fully recommend this pad.

5.0 out of 5 stars Handsstands Sticky Pads are the bomb! (Great!), February 20, 2007
This review is from: Handstands Original Sticky Pad (Electronics)
I picked up one of these at a local Target and was so pleased I purchased two more, online, for my wife's dashboard, which has a "shelf" for holding more stuff than my curved dash which currently only holds my cell phone. She needs lots of help organizing and maintain her "stuff" and this will be very useful in that capacity.

The bottom of the slab is very able to hold to surfaces well.

Finally: The use
Well....here is where the failure occurs. The edges of the slab curled up. I couldn't get them to stick. The pad itself stayed in place but looked terrible with the edges curled.
1/2" to 3/4" border - all the way around couldn't be made to stick - no matter how I tried.

I cleaned the dash, let it dry and peeled the backing off as instructed and then placed in in a particular location but the edges curled. Oh well.....

It might work for you but it did not for me.

This is a "must have" for anyone. Perfect to hold glasses, cell phone, ipod or anything you need easy access to. We use them in cars and helicopters and they work great.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works GREAT with my Kindle!, April 29, 2009

I love this item. It has a lot going for it, the price, the fact that it works great, the size, and the fact that it works great on my Kindle 2. In fact, if it were in color, I would buy a whole lot more. I am just not that into black, but black works in a lot of places.

I placed this sticky pad on the back of my Kindle and even my husband was amazed how well it worked. I can now use my Kindle with my elliptical machine just by placing it on the readout. My Kindle doesn't slip or fall and I can read while I'm exercising.

I think the inventors should make 'skins' for lots of products instead of just pads too. If the price is as good as this, they would have a winner! I have used all the ones I have bought around the house and in my car.

Not happy with purchase, it refuses to stick to my dash and when I stuck it to centre console ( between the front chairs) it would not hold cell phone, and it kept curling up at the edges. When I tested the strength of hold with cell phone, I lifted up centre console and phone went flying into back seat. Does not work as advertised!

5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps my iPhone from taking another bath in vanilla latte, October 7, 2009

I spilled vanilla latte all over my car a couple months ago. My iPhone was down in that little recessed area under my emergency brake, where I used to always place it so it would be within easy reach if I needed to answer a call (pockets are no place to be digging around while you're tooling down the freeway, you know). Unfortunately, that little recessed spot also makes for a nice little hot tub when it's full of vanilla latte. I dried off my phone and let it rest for a while. The first couple times I turned it on after that it complained that "this accessory is not made to work with iPhone"--no kidding, maybe it prefers a mocha or something. After cleaning out the sync/charge port a little better and letting it sit a bit longer, this message eventually stopped appearing. I think my phone is fine now, but...

I wanted something to keep my phone up and out of the way so it wouldn't take another bath, and consequently I bought this sticky pad. It does an excellent job of holding my phone up on the dashboard. After sitting in the sun for a bit, the edges of the pad got a little curly (maybe a quarter of a centimeter all around the perimeter of the pad has peeled away from the dash). This happened the first day I put the pad in place, and hasn't gotten any worse since then (I've had the pad now for over a month), so I assume everything is fine. When I set my phone on the pad it stays put, no matter how hard I lean the steering wheel to the left or right (not that I've driven crazy or anything, just normal driving).

I recommend this product whole-heartedly to anyone interested in NOT giving their phone a bath in vanilla latte. Cheers!

I had high expectations. I was only left disappointed. The pad is flimsy and not well-constructed. It doesn't lay flat on the dashboard. The corners curl up just like other reviewers have said. I do not recommend this. Spend a little extra to get something of better quality.
