I have been using this laptop desk for a few weeks now and LOVE IT!!! I have a 17" laptop computer and it fits wonderfully. I do not use a mouse (I am a touchpad girl), so the mouse extension works great for my phones and other electronics. No longer do I have hot patches on my thighs from the bottom of my laptop! YEAH!!!! The padding is so comfortable and the wood is just beautiful! Highly recommend!

Well constructed... and solid. The pull-out surface is useful. One minor quibble: the surface is slippery. Stuff doesn't stay put when the desk is tilted.

This is well finished and good quality. It has a slide-out mouse tray which is very handy. After an extended time with a laptop, the desk does get a little heavy on the lap. The desk itself is of substantial weight, but it's fine that way.

I think the pad underneath could be a little thicker and a little wider, but overall this is a good piece of "furniture".

Love this desk! Wide space to use and work with, extremely comfortable padding for your lap. Beautiful color of wood and looks well made. I don't use a mouse for my laptop but the pull out side "shelf" is perfect for putting my ipod and camera while uploading pics. This would make a great gift for a college student or anyone who like to be comfy in bed or on the couch while doing work. Love it!

This lap desk looks like fine furniture instead of the typical pile of plastic that I found in all the local office and electronic stores. The well put together padding is very wide and deep so if you are sitting cross-legged or with your legs out it feels comfortable. The desk surface is wide enough to easily hold a 17 inch laptop or an extra-wide keyboard. The only down side is that the slide out mouse surface is so polished that the mouse may slip off if you are sitting with your legs up. Overall this is super nice and worth the extra couple bucks relative to the cheep quality plastic competitors.

I finally decided to get rid of the lapdesk that I used in college. It had particle board top with bean bag cushion and was falling apart after 20 years. I looked at all kinds of lapdesks and I'm very happy I picked this one.

It's got a wood cherry top with the wood slide out tray. It's nice and wide and can easily handle a 17" widescreen laptop. The cushion is attached to the back with velcro making it easy to remove for cleaning or for a replacement if you aren't happy with the one it comes with. The only thing that could be improved is to have a latch or something for pulling out the little mouse tray. It'll slide out as you are carrying it but that is trivial and I'll probably rig something.

It definitely looks like a piece of furniture and even smelled like furniture polish when I pulled it out of the box. I'm very pleased and am sure this will last me another 20 years!

I purchased this item for myself because it's easier to use than a portable free standing laptop table. It's light weight and can be stowed in a handy place behind a sofa or chair when not in use. Underneath there is a sliding insert (it can be accessed by removing the foam pad that is held in place with velcro) that can be used on the right side for a mouse. There is a peg in the slide to prevent the slide from coming out and falling on the floor. The peg in the slide was broken off allowing the slide to fall on the floor. There were no instructions with the unit, however, a small dowel about the size used for hand waving flags can be used to substitute. I would recommend this or a similar style for anyone who uses a laptop in a variety of locations at home.

I bought this so I could chip away at some emails while in bed and I've been doing just that. This lap desk is perfect. Large enough for my 17" macbook pro. I use a mouse and I don't even need the tray. Weather in bed or on the couch,it's a perfect fit. It's made extremely well, it looks good and it tucks away under my bed. One minor drawback is after a couple hours it's a bit heavy on the legs but at that point I'm ready to put the computer away.

Quick shipping, nice packaging. The product itself is pretty, well made and comfortable. Love the mouse part which is the reason to get this one and not a cheaper one.

Nicely made...huge work surface...but a little heavy. I would buy again. I bought this for a friend and now I will order one for myself.
