Handbook of American Indian Games,
By A Customer
This review is from: Handbook of American Indian Games (Native American) (Paperback)
This book has some good activities in it but they were mainly from the Pacific Northwest with a few plains tribes. The games did not come with background information as to which tribes played the games or any other information. If you are just looking for random Native american games and not trying to teach using this text then this book is fine.

This book was selected for our district library to help plan the games and activities for a district Cub Adventure Weekend. The games are well described and helpfully broken down into age appropriateness (use some discretion), number of players needed, type of game, and where it can occur. I would describe this book as an essential read for planning a camporee or Cub Adventure Weekend. By using this book and some added modernisation, we developed a sixteen event Cub Adventure Weekend.

Book was extremely helpful in instructing young Boy Scouts in the Indian Lore merit badge.
