This review is from: The Handbook of Applied Expert Systems (Hardcover)
Organized to provide detailed reviews of various types of expert systems, this reference is well tailored to meet designer needs. Each section provides historical background and data to indicate the various approaches that have been made to the particular problem domain along with a few detailed discussions of specific real-world applications. With this knowledge, the software designer can make informed decisions on the best approach for the problem domain they are tasked to automate. This is the pattern book for expert systems design to help determine whether the best approach be neural networks, rule-based, case-based, etc. No expert system designer can afford to ignore it's accessible summaries in their application space.
