I was required to purchase this book for my College Technical Writing Class - back in 1983. I still have the book! If you need a book to help you with all of the English language exceptions - this book is for you. Excellent examples and a great index make this easy to use and apply. This book will help anybody with communication skills.

I had to puchase the 4th edition of this book for a college English class in 1977. I didn't pay it much thought at the time, but over the ensuing years I've gone back to it over and over again.

To me, it's the king's English. I consult it when writing professional business reports and editing draft documents that cross my desk. It's very concise and covers a wide range of grammatical points. Every such question I've asked, this book has the answer.

My softcover 4th edition is a bit dog-eared, so I'm going to plunk down some coin for the 8th edition in hardback.

This book was a college text way back when. I ordered an updated copy after mine fell apart from use. This book sat on my desk as a reference on every job. I have passed all written employment exams with a score over 95 because of this book. On every job co-workers including supervisors would ask me questions about language rules. I would pull out this book and show them the rules. This book is very well organized. All email users should own this book
