5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Reference October 24, 2011

This pocket sized AHA reference is a fantastic "must-have" for any ED or Pre-Hospital provider. It can replace the full manual for both Adult and Pediatric ACLS for the experienced provider. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Used for ACLS course instead of the regular book October 28, 2011
Verified Purchase
The regular book was not available in time for the date I needed it - slow shipping. So I had no choice but to use this spiral bound handbook. Turned out it was all I needed. And it's all you would need if you were doing the Pediatric ACLS and OB ACLS as well. You are allowed to reference the algorithms in the handbook while taking the final quiz. This handbook was concise, less reading, had all the info necessary. Seems a little overpriced for what it is, but can be used for other courses, so maybe it's three texts for the price of one. Easier to flip through with the spiral binding as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best reference for ACLS September 26, 2011
Verified Purchase
This is the perfect handbook to study and review ACLS. Moreover, there is a separate section on pediatrics, giving you a great reference guide for PALS as well. Also includes a mini-drug reference guide giving you quick access to dosing, side effects, contraindications, etc., for all medications used in this book. The book has mini-tabs that you can utilize for quick access to relevant parts of the handbook that you reference frequently. There are full page flow charts of all major algorithms and their treatments as well as a mini-review of 12-leads. Handbook is pretty sturdy as well for use in hospital or prehospitally.

5.0 out of 5 stars buy cheaper through the AHA May 30, 2012
This same spiral bound book is available for $25.00 through the AHA website.
Otherwise it is a fantastic resource that one can use easily and quickly in a code situation.

I work in an ER and this little handbook is a great little resource. I plan on using it to study for both my ACLS and PALS recertifications as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent customer service!! July 1, 2014

We bought a brand new book for an upcoming course. We noticed that it was missing an important chapter, and that another was duplicated. We contacted the seller, and they sent us a replacement in time for class - BEFORE we sent the defective back to them! The replacement was accompanied a pre-addressed and stamped envelope for a simple free return. We were very happy with our results!!
