About the Author

Allen S. Myerson is the Joseph and Violet Jacobs Professor and Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Polytechnic University. An internationally recognized expert in the field of crystallization, Dr. Myerson specializes in metastable solution structure and impurity crystal interactions. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. Prior to his position at Polytechnic University, he served on the faculty at the University of Dayton and the Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Myerson has published approximately 60 papers in technical journals and has edited one book. He is a consultant, in the area of crystallization, to a number of companies in the United States and Japan.
