Aryeh Kaplan has created a brilliant guide to real, Orthodox Judaism. His footnotes and detail and thoroughness are extremely impressive. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in Judaism.

Aryeh Kaplan is one of the few thinkers who truly mastered both traditional Jewish religious and modern scientific learning. His essays thus have the force of confronting the question at hand with real knowledge and understanding. He writes with logic and clarity and provides knowledge and inspiration on whatever subject he touches.
