Books on PA
Book is a good asset to the PA field, however there are many other books written from a more interactive prospective. Regardless if one is seeking a traditional text book style work on Human Resource Management, this is the book for you.

Broad and fair,

As far as I get to the book I think it is broad and fair enough to allow an understanding of Public Human Resources Management, what I would expect beyond would be some attempts of measuring performance or quantitative models or more specific details in the area.

Condrey uses whit and savvy to dish up a smorgasboard of human resource information. This book is a must read for any level of public or private sector manager. The author includes sections on every major area of Human Resources - benefits, performance evaluation, job classification - you name it. This collection of works truly lives up to its name; it IS the handbook that all managers should be familiar with.
