I am currently doing the neonatal intensive care course, and I use this book. I find it easily readable. Since english is not my native language, and I haven't studied for a few years this book has motivated me. The text is well written, and the scientific context is well researched. This book helped me to get my knowledge up to specs again. I will be ordering my own copy. Thanks to dr. Merenstein for writing this book. Trix Tromp

especially useful as a study tool for neonatal certificaion

This is a very good teaching tool for RN's new to a NICU, and also a reference for experienced NICU RN's. The 2002 version includes some added information.

This book is excellent, very well written, easy to understand. I highly reccomend it!!

Excellent book for seasoned nurses to have as a reference or for a new nurse just starting in the neonatal unit. Comprehensive, well organized, easy to read and understand; photos, diagrams very helpful. Well worth the investment!

This book is exactly what I needed in updating my skills for returning to a strictly NIcu job.
I recommend it to any nurse who may need to understand how very different the care of a premature baby is, and to any returning to the field, as I am.

This was the book we used for my NICU level 3 training, has some good information but the index makes it very difficult to find what you are looking for. This book is not something that I am able to use on a regular basis and I feel like most of the time it doesnt fully answer the questions I have. I often defer to other resources at work.

There is nothing like this. Don't waste time looking for anything else. Keep it in the computer bag. It will never collect dust on a shelf.
