This review is from: Handbook of Paleolithic Typology: Lower and Middle Paleolithic of Europe (Paperback)
Good discussion and illustrations of European lower and mid Paleolithic lithics. Somewhat limited in both temporal and spatial coverage, but a good initial guide to lithic typology. Perhaps slightly dated, with very little on Africa and Asia, even considering it's publication date (Jan 1993). Would be useful for a supplemental text in an advanced undergraduate course or for the enthusiast amateur or collector. A specialist book for professionals and students in early human archeology/anthropology/evolution. Recommended

This review is from: Handbook of Paleolithic Typology: Lower and Middle Paleolithic of Europe (Paperback)
Good review of Paleolithic typology addressing some of the theoritical issues concerning these lithic typologies, i.e. Bordes and Binford. Excellent line illustrations (drawings) of lithic debitage and tools.
