Editorial Reviews

Review

"Not only is more more empirical research of this relationship needed, but, as the authors of the different entries demonstrate, a more empathic understanding of the quality of this relationship is required as well. This well-conceived and well-executed handbook provides some means for achieving this understanding... I recommend this volume because it offers direction for such research."
--JOURNAL OF CLINICAL PSYCHIATRY, October 2000

5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing creation and resource!, March 27, 2001

This review is from: Handbook of Religion and Mental Health (Hardcover)
This book is a must have resource for anyone interested in the plethera of studies published in the field of religion and healthcare. This book is the most comprehensive collection of all the related studies ever done to date. Koenig, McCullough, and Larson have brought an enormous resource to the hands of those who need them. Personally, I have found this book to be extrememly helpful in resourcing the various studies related to my own work. The medical field is becoming increasingly aware of the relationship between religion and spirituality with health. Perhaps this powerful collection will help spurn others to contribute to this growing field!
