Fascinating set of therapeutic How-To's for interventions,
By A Customer
This review is from: Handbook of Structured Techniques in Marriage and Family Therapy (Hardcover)
Basically this is a set of techniques for diagnosing and intervening with families. The 56 techniques include such classics as the genogram, use of dreams, reframing, and paradox. Each technique is presented with enough detail that you can use it immediately. Names of techniques include: "Pretending to have the symptom," "Contaminating the suicidal Fantasy," and "Sculpting."
Each procedure is such an easy read that I have made this book part of my bathroom accessories. I wouldn't part with it.
