If you are new to C# like I was, this is the book for you. The author offers a rare insight into the basic syntax of C#, which will greatly simplify your study of it. By focusing only on the elements common to all programming languages at first (variables, operators, strings, arrays, loops) and then easing you into the more advanced features of the C# language (classes, access levels, constants, generics), the book shows you step by step how you can get a solid knowledge of this language by understanding the core of its syntax. The style is engaging and not as wordy as you'd expect a programming book to be. It is concise and to the point.

I strongly recommend the "Handbook of C# Syntax" as the best introduction to the C#language I've come across in recent years.

A Small and concise book.
However, there is no index, so it is difficult to find what is needed without thumbing through all the pages.
This is not what I would expect from what is supposed to be a reference book.
