5.0 out of 5 stars The Ultimate Research Tool, March 23, 2001

"Handbook of Tests and Measurements for Black Populations" is an excellent comprehensive resource manual for those who are interested in obtaining instruments for research with Black Populations. Volumes I and II have over 80 survey and other research instruments; some of which includes measures with infants, race perception, language perception, noncognitive measures and a number of other measures that are pertinent to research with African American populations. This book is the researcher's ultimate dream come true! In addition the book's strength not only lies in the numerous measurements, but also in the contribution from the many reputable scholars in the fields of psychology, sociology, medicine, linguistics and a host of other disciplines. This book is a "must buy." It would make the perfect gift for your favorite scholar.
