This is a technical book written for the biochemist with an interest in natural products and toxinology. Highly recommended for researchers and those who have a strong background in biochemistry and an interest in venoms. This is an excellent review with each chapter written by experts in the field. Gives a pretty detailed and current description of the major toxins and enzyme classes found in snake venoms.

This review is from: Handbook of Venoms and Toxins of Reptiles (Hardcover)
This publication provides an excellent balance of soundly researched data at several levels .The text is limited to toxicologists and biochemists etc,due to the depth of the information. I was looking for data relating to the Biochem of the toxins and an up to date structural representation as well as the filling that is a usual by line to such a publication ,it has all that and set out in an excellent manner. Recommend to all students of bio-toxins .Well worth its reasonable price for such quality reference text.

This book is an incredible collection of current knowledge of the field. Having looked in many other places for a lot of this information, it is great to see useful synopses and explanations by top researchers in the field. It is well worth the money if you are interested in this field at all.
