Disappointing,
This review is from: Handbook of Waterfowl Identification (Paperback)
I like that this book is global in its coverage, but the treatment of each species is quite weak. Range maps are not included for every species, and only one or two moderate quality images are included for each species. The text provided for each bird averages only 60 - 70 words, and the descriptions are not always sufficient for field identification. This is not a quality field guide, and I would not recommend it to a friend. If you are birding in North America, just stick with the Sibley Guide - it gives you better accounts and is more useful for field ID.
