I bought this to replace the same CD which I had lost as well as the cassette. (Yeah, what is a cassette?)I can only say that Ihave heard and taught the Handel Sonatas many times. But I was lucky enought to be in a mastercalss with this man, see him perform live on several occasions and hear his recordings. My high school teacher used to swap cigarettes for lessons during the occupation of France.Truly a different world. It is worth whatever you need to pay to hear this. It is a type of playing that we do not hear much of in these days where flutes have to play loud to get out over an orchestra. Everything on this CD is a joy. It is a whole different style of playing which is disappearing so listen and grab on to what you liked about him while his recordings are still available.
