If you want this recording these days the only way to get it is to either pay way over the top prices for a second hand copy or for free via Rapidshare, as an MP3 download.

Its such a pity the set isn't available on a reissue because it is very good. Both Derek Lee Ragin (one of the most accomplished countertenors) and Sandrine Piau are wonderful in their respective roles.

I hope that the FNAC Label licence this recording to someone else so everyone can once again buy the CD's at a sensible price.

The previous reviewer's wish (and that of many Handel lovers) has been granted. This fine recording, considered by some to be one of the best of a Handel opera, has now been reissued on the Aparte label. The reissue includes both libretto and notes. I've ordered it on-line from Amazon.fr for 36 euros, including shipping.
