Fine performances on all levels. Della Jones is fantastic as Medea and Minkowski conducts with the needed drama and intensity suitable to this very dramatic opera. The only available CD recording of this opera; this was a world premiere recording.

This opera is rare and the recording is rarer still. A cast that carries off this opera with it's blending of mythical and human characters to fine effect. Musically, very satisfying. Anyone who wants to explore baroque opera could start here.
