Another of the Top Ten,
This review is from: The Handgun (Hardcover)
This is one of the greatest books on handguns, especially from the British standpoint. It is a very large book with complete coverage of the subject. It is well written, easy to read, and very thorough. The black and white photographs are excellent.I recommend this book highly and consider it one of the top ten books on handguns. If you can find it, buy it and read it. You will not be disapponted.

Bond? Yes, indeed!,
This review is from: The Handgun (Hardcover)
As an aside to this excellent book, it can be mentioned that Mjr. Boothroyd recommended to Ian Fleming that his new spy-story main character should use the new Walther PPK. That's right. The agent in question was James Bond, agent 007 of her British Majestys MI6. And, as a thank you, Mjr. Boothroyd appeared in the stories, and later the movies, as Q, the Equipment Officer.
