Where's the pork?,
By Pete (Massachusetts) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Handicap! Finding the Key Horse: Finding the Key Horse (Paperback)
Booksellers admit in private that some books are parasites gnawing on the public body. This is one such. Don't get infected! I implore you! We're supposed to learn to find a Key Horse in a race: the title tells us so. Twice. It does nothing like that. It does nothing, period. It does so little that it goes negative from nothing. It's so wrong it can't even do wrong right. I write my sober, reasoned, fair and balanced review and recall my outrage as I finished the Thing. Why did I bother? Ninety-nine cents got me a used copy through Amazon but the Thing's utter lack of content proved it a bad buck on a bad book and better luck next time, buddy. Oh sure, the Thing has lots in common with a real book: it's printed in ink on paper; it's bound and between covers; and nearly every word in it is an English word. There are many places to learn Key Horse theory, but please: not here. Watch your step -- here be Trichinellae.
