Nostalgic Thrash,
By
This review is from: Handle With Care (Audio CD)
This album will always remind me of 8th grade. I had the tape, and had been wanting to get in on CD for years. I finally found a copy on Ebay a few months ago, and since then it has almost constantly been in my car stereo. "Search and Seizure" was always my favorite and it still makes me bang my head and throw devil horns out the window.
Anything that can make an old, fat, boring married guy feel like a carefree 13 yr old again is pretty good.

If you like thrash music like Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer then you will love this Album. Look some up on youtube, it is a thrasterpiece PERIOD. I have only two complaints. Its out of print here in the states and it seriously lacks bass so it can be a little hard on the ears without some good eq'ing. If you like really good, well written/though out thrash music then you will love this album!

Played superbly this is thrash metal with a punk attitude and a unique sound of it's own,the songs are head and shoulders above most stuff you hear today,Connelly,Lilker and Evans sure hit a rich vein of form when they wrote this album,i still get a buzz off it when i listen to it, and unless i get a knock on the head i suspect i always will!!It's simple; this is one of the best Thrash albums of all time,a classic from start to finish(funky noise included)buy it,enjoy it.

Classic aggressive thrash!,
This review is from: Handle With Care (Audio CD)
This is a must have for any thrash head. This is East Coast style which brings in more hints of NYC hardcore, etc... more angry. Very raw recording but it gets its message across! I saw these guys play a tiny warehouse back in 1990 and i remember the pit for "New Song". That riff right after the solo it made everyone in the audience SNAP. Big time washing machine spin cycle pit! Ah the good ol days! If you like your thrash aggressive and pissed off then get this. I'd say this is the best NA album! Game Over was classic as well but get this one!

I have been listening to Nuclear Assault for a long time now and there one of the best thrash bands ever.Handle With Care is in the top five thrash albums of all time. The album starts off with one of the best thrash songs ever, called New Song, this is a pure fight song,it just pumps you up.From then on the album never gets boring, all the songs just blow you away.John Connelly is one of the best thrash singers. The album has it's typical Nuclear Assault goof off songs on the album. The song is called Funky Noise, thats why Nuclear Assault rules. My three favorite thrash bands are,1 Powermad,2 Nuclear Assault,3 Dark Angel. This album is for real headbangers only. Please reissue Handle With Care and Survive. For fans of Anthrax,Vio-lence,and D.R.I.

This album kicks *ss. A very faced paced, heavy, and smart album. A true classic, but also underated. The bass player, Dan Lilker, of early Anthrax and S.O.D. shreds and is one of my favorites. This is a great album to listen to while running, and or working out.

Nuclear Assault is an underrated band much like Testament. They were part of the second generation of thrash bands falling under the first 'Big Four'.
John Connelly was not an exceptional singer, but he used his vocals to the fullest extent. Of course Dan Lilker on bass is awesome, I'm a big fan of his because of his participation in S.O.D. This album is fast, loud, and underproduced. The lyrics are not crisp, but sound guttery which is the way thrash is supposed to be. Favorite songs are New Song and Search and Seizure.

As good as Survive, maybe even better,

This review is from: Handle With Care (Audio CD)
Released in late 1989, Nuclear Assault's "Handle With Care" is the most mature album of their entire catalogue which was already impressive by this point.
The production is a little bit more muddy and treble induced than the previous album Survive was, but it is still thoroughly modern sounding. Handle with Care also has the best guitar riffs of any Nuclear Assault offering with Connelly and Bramante hashing out cool riff after riff (just listen to the opening line of Inherited Hell and Trails of Tears). Lilker's bass is as busy as ever, hashing out the fat bass lines as fast as he can. The drumming isn't as in your face as it was on Survive, but Glenn Evans does a magnificient job directing the many transitions contained in the songs. Lots more straight ahead double-bass and tom rolls on this one as opposed to Survive. The song writing overall is of a much higher caliber. It's also interesting to mention that Nuclear Assault's trade mark Thrash/Hardcore sound has a lot less Hardcore composition in this album as opposed to previous efforts. This album closes N.A. most successful period as the band would later release 1991's Out of Order which was confusing at best, and the band would die out quickly afterwords. Definitely worth having.

this album has a lot of awesome songs and everything about this album is absoulutly excellent.nuclear assault was formed by danny lilker(ex-anthrax bassist)and like i said in the s.o.d. reveiw danny is always an awesome bass player and this album is proof.the drums on this album is hardcore glenn just keeps pounding and pounding his drums to extinction.the guitars are simply jawdropping and lots of excellent solos, and the vocals are unique and awesome with the music.the best songs on here are critical mass, inherited hell, emergency, trial of tears, and lots of other great tunes too.get this cause if you like infamous bass playing excellent guitar riffs, hardcore drumming, and a bit high vocals, this is the album for you!!!.
