Handmade, Handpainted "Dew Good" Flip Flop

Flip flops are really cute, but the sizing stinks. I have skinny feet and wear an 8 1/2 and bought a large and can barely get them on the because the straps are so tight.

I really love these flip flops. They are a great value and the fact that that I am helping support communities in Bali makes me very happy. They are also:

1.) Extremely beautiful, definately designer style
2.) Comfortable and long lasting. I've worn them in the summer, the rain on the sand and even on rocky surfaces. They are amazingly sturdy.

I enjoy these sandals. I've worn them in the rain and they were fine. I'm usually the type of girl who loves the flexible-type soles. Yes, I like feeling the rocks I step on. The cardboard makes that a bit difficult, but I'm not complaining. Just stating it just in case someone were interested in these sandals for that reason.

About the straps. At first they were a bit uncomfortable. They were tight and sometimes even left subtle welts on the tops of my feet. But like any shoe I believed that they must be broken in (I love a challenge) and that's just what they did. The straps loosened up to fit the shape of my foot within a couple of days and they are as comfortable as ever. I didn't have the size problem many seem to have had. People have different types of feet--this sandal isn't made for everyone unfortunately.

The suede (I believe) on the straps is very comfortable. There are no metal pieces in the thong of the sandals (brown) I bought unlike what was stated in a previous review, though it may differ from style/color to style/color. Maybe it's just me, but I feel special wearing things that have been handmade. Whether the design or what-have-you can be seen or not someone busted their behind to paint pretty-looking flower-like things on the soles of my sandals, so I'm darn sure going to wear them with some misplaced sense of pride in appreciation.

Very comfortable and I can see myself ordering them in other colors. The red that I ordered are vibrant and very well contructed. For the price and the immediate service they are a great buy!

I got a couple of these flip flops for my friend and myself. I actually sized up after reading the review left by E. Lowman and they fit perfectly. The details were gorgeous and they are as viewd in the image.The sole is soft rubber and shock-absorbing & the thong is velvet-like material. Im defintely going to purchase a couple more as gifts.

At first, they were nice looking. But now, the left top and sole has broken in half, after almost immediately the right sole-tip coming off. They are only being worn at home, meaning from bed to chair to bathroom. Wanted to help the craftsmen making them. But won't ever buy again.

I can understand why some reviewers found these flipflops to be very uncomfortable because, when you first put them on just out of the package, they are. But almost immediately the straps begin to stretch and conform to your feet and they become super comfortable quickly. Also they look very Oriental and give an exotic flair to jeans or a skirt. And at the sale price you can't afford to pass them up. I came back to order a second pair but my size is no longer in stock so get them while you can!

I had read so many positive things about the shoes so I was excited to try them for myself, however when they arrived I do agree with the insole design (which is very pretty), but am disappointed in the make. The soles/bottoms are extremely hard and feel like walking on pavement. Sizing of the sole was fine, it is the thong/strap I have an issue with. I believe they are inaccurately placed on the sole which makes them tight between the toes and uncomfortable to walk in. But I will value other customers reviews and give them time to break in. Hopefully the straps will stretch out a little and the soles will soften around my feet. Good luck to anyone else who plans on purchasing or purchased.

These sandals look great in the picture, but when you see them in person you find the quality of the sole is very poor. The hand paint detail is quite pretty but what is the point if it gets hidden by your feet anyway and just the ugly white strip of the sole cushion shows?

Update- I took these sandals to my beach vacation, and after the third day the last layer of the sole started peeling. Sadly, these were the only pair of sandals I took with me and it was EMBARRASING. So they lasted 3 days, yippy....

These are very narrow. I have a narrow foot and normally wear a medium shoe. I ordered a large because they do run narrow. They were very much too long and almost too narrow. Most people would not be able to wear them comfortably.
