1.0 out of 5 stars no patterns, none, April 11, 2010
This review is from: Handmade Paper Pierced Cards (Simple and Stunning) (Paperback)
I remember doing this as a kid. I took a picture of an elephant, taped it to a blank paper and used a pin to poke the holes. I thought this book would give me the more "stunning" results I wanted as an adult.

The problem with the book is that it doesn't contain a single piercing pattern. Not one! You have to already own piercing templates (no web address or snail mail address given to find these) in order to do the five projects in the book. And all the projects, and all the examples shown, only use piercing around the edges as decorations....piercing is never the main attraction of the cards. The main part of the cards is quilling or rub ons or paper punches.

I was hoping for some complicated piercing patterns and plenty of inspiration and got neither.

I didn't feel there was enough detail on how to actually do the projects. It lacked patterns like some of the other books I have used.
