Put your MMC/SD expansion slot to use and play the world's most popular word game on your Palm m125, m130, i705, or m500 series handheld. Simply insert the memory card to play Scrabble and save 350 KB of memory on your Palm OS device.

Handmark Scrabble features a drag-and-drop tile-placement interface, a built-in copy of The Official Scrabble Players Dictionary (with over 100,000 words), it automatically scores every game, and even saves partially completed games to be continued at any time.

Choose to play in either friendly or tournament mode. Friendly mode is like a casual family game where you can choose to accept or reject words not outside the standard rules. Friendly mode also allows the Suggest Move option, displaying suggestions for your next move. Choose tournament mode and you are playing by classic Scrabble rules. Includes challenges that automatically check the built-in Official Scrabble Players Dictionary.

Practice your Scrabble skills when you play against the automated computer opponent. Choose the skill level of your opponent: beginner, novice, intermediate, or expert.

Play against opponents using multiple devices with IR beaming. Play against one, two, or three opponents using one device and the Handmark Scrabble game will hide your tile rack from your opponents. Study your tile rack while your opponents take their turn.

I got this as a gift and found it was quite playable and entertaining on my Palm M130. Unlike SimCity, which is a real strain on the small screen, this game seems well-suited to the Palm's size and shape.

I play Scrabble every day, and it's a joy to finally have a version I can play solo on the train to work. This is a decent version of the board game. (The Windows CE version looks much better, however). If you know the game already you will be able to figure out how the Palm version is laid out, if not -- there is ample help and you'll pick it up quickly. The computer opponent is very challenging. The Players dictionary and rules are complete. (And always remember: 'XI' is a word).
