Research indicates that massage is beneficial for infants in many ways. By the author of the best-selling Hands on Feet, this 160 page guide explains where and how to safely massage a baby to help relieve colic, irritability, and other common afflictions. It comes with an adorable "onesie," a one-piece, snap-on baby garment, preprinted front and back with a colorful design that shows just where to massage for specific results.

Editorial Reviews

From Publishers Weekly

Baby massage can help relieve an infant's gassy stomach, soothe crankiness and bring children "harmony and wholeness," says Kluck. Yet some parents my fear injuring their child in an attempt to help. Certified infant massage instructor Kluck, who owns a Hollywood massage company, lays out the basics of massaging a baby in this helpful book, which details the practice's benefits, origins and procedures. Her advice is gentle and calming, which should set nervous parents at ease. Kluck gives step-by-step directions for massaging babies' legs, feet, tummies, chests, arms, hands, faces and backs, and she offers special chapters on calming colic and "supporting the special needs child." Line drawings demonstrate her techniques, and other sections answer frequently asked questions such as "How often should I massage my baby?" and "What if my baby cries?"

I loved this book and I found it tremendously helpful with my 3 month old baby who has colic. Not only does the book tell you exactly how to massage your baby in really simple terms, it also comes with an adorable onesie that shows how to massage your baby right on the shirt! I now buy this book for all my friends who are having babies. It's my favorite baby shower present.

3.0 out of 5 stars Heart In the Right Place, May 3, 2006
This review is from: Hands On Baby Massage: The New System that Makes Baby Massage a Snap (Paperback)
The intention of this book is nice. The content is just too much! The onesie is cute - for a few washings, and the print is so small - hard to read. I know the subject is important, I just think it could have been delivered in a much more concise manner. There is a newer book out there now by Suzanne P. Reese titled: Baby Massage - Soothing Strokes For Healthy Growth, and it's compact, easy-to-read and she gets right to the point without the need for so much text before you finally get to the strokes.....and Ms Reese's book has photos of real babies - not drawings. Much cuter and fun to look at!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Helpful book, April 20, 2004

This review is from: Hands On Baby Massage: The New System that Makes Baby Massage a Snap (Paperback)
This book and the onesie that comes with it are so helpful to me now that I have a 4 month old baby. I was pretty timid when it came to touching my new baby because she was premature but I learned how to use the techniques in the book . The shirt made everything so easy. I recommend this book to everyone with a baby!
