Flaps to lift, pull tabs, and pop-up artwork show children exactly how the gears work in such big machines as piggybackers, combines, bulldozers, log stackers, and even robots on an assembly line.

Not what I was expecting,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Hands-On Book of Big Machines (Hardcover)
Although this book is classified in the children's book category, the text is dense and probably appropriate for the 10-12 age group. However, in my opinion, the pop-up style of the book would be appealing to children much younger than 10-12. This disconnect between the (average) graphics and text left me less than impressed. I'm planning to send the book back and buy, "Machines at Work," a more age-appropriate read for my toddler, recommended by my local librarian.
