Encouraging, inspiring, uplifting and hopeful!,

This review is from: Hands of Life: Use Your Body's Own Energy Medicine for Healing, Recovery, and Transformation (Paperback)
This revolutionary take on the healing arts is so fundamentally sound that I found myself wondering why no one had thought and said these things before! Julie's experiences and descriptions of how she helps her patients process their surgeries and illnesses and GROW through them are truly inspirational. Our bodies want to know and understand our choices, and Julie does the obvious: talking to the individual organs and helping her patients truly inhabit their own bodies. This book is SO well-written and moving - You may not agree with every hypothesis she presents, but you will definitely FEEL happy to be human as a result of reading this book!

This review is from: Hands of Life: Use Your Body's Own Energy Medicine for Healing, Recovery, and Transformation (Paperback)
As healers we often forget to look at the best tools we have been given, our hands. "Hands of Life:Use your Body's Own Energy Medicine for Healing, Recovery and Transformation", reminds us of the blessing of touch. Reflective as well as informational this is a great book to give for a graduate going into the healing or teaching profession. We find ourselves starving for love and affection in our daily lives. Ms. Motz teaches that in this world where touch is seen more and more as invasive and suspicious, we can use the healer in us all to affect this attitude. We can teach others that touch is another form of nutrition that feeds the spiritual heart as well as the physical body. If you are looking for the best book on the subject of hands on healing, this is it.

Transformational work in mind-body healing,
By
This review is from: Hands of Life: Use Your Body's Own Energy Medicine for Healing, Recovery, and Transformation (Paperback)
This is an absolutely transformational book about healing the body through the powerful mind-body-spirit connection. Julie Motz''s work is pioneering and incredibly, she's takes this, and us, into the operating room. Detailing her ground-breaking work with Dr. Mehmet OZ, (years before he was famous!) we''re able to hear and feel the emotional causes and effects of heart disease and cancer, from the body's perspective. Through her work, Ms. Motz lovingly places healing in your hands. This is a book that will change the way you view your health, the health of others, and quite possibly your life. Highly recommended.

best book on cancer psychology; outstanding book on breast cancer psychology,

This review is from: Hands of Life: Use Your Body's Own Energy Medicine for Healing, Recovery, and Transformation (Paperback)
I'm adding this to my Classics of Health Intuition (Medical Intuition) Bookist, see below for full list.Like other reviewers here, I had never heard of this in decades of research on just this topic; yes, an undiscovered gem, one of the clearest articulations of cancer psychology and breast cancer psychology by a woman surgeon turned energy healer. There is definitely more to breast cancer psychology but nothing better anywhere I know of in terms of case studies illustrating the cause-effect relationship of unresolved childhood emotions in breast cancer formation. Page 232: "Look if I eve meet a perfectly happy woman who had a wonderful, loving, nurturing childhood and also has breast cancer, I'll have to change my mind. But either they do not exist; or, I just don't get to meet them." ... "You have to go against a cultural norma; achieving emotional intactness is a revolutionary act." She goes on to speculate on the unresolved issues driving both chemotherapy (umbilical cord issues) and radiation (hatred, self-hatred and rejection of the coming baby by the mother and surrounding adults in the pre-natal experience). Includes an introduction to William Emerson and birth psychology issues. Classics of Health Intuition Literature (Classics of Health Intuitive Literature) This is not an exhaustive list of useful books in the field. It is intended to give you directions to pursue your won interests and to see what the field has and has yet to accomplish. Classics of Health Intuition Literature (Classics of Health Intuitive Literature) Core Transformation, Connierae Andreas, where NLP met spirituality, the touchstone for all the progress we made in the 1990s after muscle testing met NLP. Diary of a Medical Intuitive: One Woman's Eye-Opening Journey from No-Nonsense E.R. Nurse to Open-Hearted Healer and Visionary, Christel Nani, RN, PhD, another medical person who was clairvoyant and turned healer. Very supportive of people with strong sensitivities. Forgiveness, Key to the Kingdom, John-Roger, the frequency of forgiveness. Several practical protocols exist. I prefer Slow-Motion Forgiveness (TM) visible at HealingToolbox.org. Hands of Life, Julie Motz, the best book I know of on cancer psychology and one of the very best on breast cancer psychology. Includes an introduction to William Emerson and birth psychology issues. Healers Handbook, Michael Lincoln, just the diseases and major conditions of Messages from the Body. Health Intuition: A Simple Guide to Greater Well-Being, Karen Grace Kassy, a direct and talented student of Myss, no kinesiology testing of any kind tho. Messages from the Body, Michael Lincoln, Caution: 694 pages and $110 from the publisher. Indispensable for serious healers. Our Many Selves, Elizabeth O'Connor, the invitation to get to know other parts of yourself beyond the comfort zone of your merely rational mind. For many people. the "door" into Gestalt and Voice Dialogue. Touch for Health, 2nd Ed, Mathew Thie. A 500% improvement over earlier editions. Incorporates Muscle Metaphors. Your Body Speaks Your Mind, 2nd ed. Deb Shapiro, the lay person's version of Messages from the Body, simpler, less complex, less impactful, still useful. Your Inner Child of the Past, Hugh Missildine, MD, this if pre-John Bradshaw and in many ways is better in that many patterns of the inner child are discussed, not only the wounded inner child that was Bradshaw's focus. As far as I know this is the first book of inner child literature. It's potent wisdom and insights were indeed strong enuf to base a movement on. These insights have not dated either, so very worthwhile.

Amazing material. This book brings light to how much more we need to bring into our health care system. I am much more aware of how powerful our minds are to our bodies.

This book blew me away! For serious students of the mind-body connection, this will open new doors to new awareness regarding health, disease, cell memory, emotions and the power of the mind. I couldn't put it down. Very compelling reading!
