Entertaining mathematical concepts,

This review is from: The Hands-On Marvelous Ball Book (Hardcover)
Surprisingly, even a younger child can understand the first part of this book, which introduces some higher level mathematical concepts in an engaging manner. I would like to see more books like it!

This review is from: The Hands-On Marvelous Ball Book (Hardcover)
An fun way to introduce children to the patterns and vocabulary of geometry. The story line draws them in and asks the child to observe and consider what they see. The "hands-on" comes near the end where these ideas can be explored with folding paper plates (and coloring them). Appeals to a wide age range with the inclusion of accurate math terms that older school age kids (and adults) will recognize. The whimsical illustrations make this a non-threatening way to explore the topic of geometry. More activities can be found here: Explore Folding of the Circle: Series Book 1
