During the 2003 - 2004 academic year, more than 3,000 students throughout Chicago read, discussed, wrote and presented poetry in classes taught by Hands on Stanzas poets-in-residence. More than 15,000 students benefited from school-wide literary projects organized by the poets and their students. This 656 page 2003-2004 Hands On Stanzas Anthology contains more than 1,700 original poems by students in the program.
