By A Customer
This review is from: Hands-On UNIX: A Practical Guide with the Essentials of Coherent, 3.5, 5.25 Package (Paperback)
Mark Sobell's book takes the intimidation
away from beginners wishing to learn
the Unix Environment. The examples
are error free and easy to follow and
understand. While there are many aspects
of Unix, Sobell's work provides the beginner
with the fundamental concepts and knowledge
of varios topics. Among them: scripting,
networking, editors, file structure, processes,
and GUI programming and environments.
A must for the incipient Unix learner
