A Medical Journey to Remember,
By
This review is from: Hands Upon My Heart: My Journey Through Heart Disease and Into Life (Paperback)
I had to put my head between my knees several times while reading Perry Foster's Hands Upon My Heart. It's a gritty, fact-filled journey through heart disease. We live vicariously every aspect of it, including the nonphysical. The author demonstrates, with great feeling and emotion, how it affects marriage and faith, and changes not only the patient but those who love him.

Realistic and engrossing,

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
Mr. Foster juxtaposes the clinical hospital experience with everyday family drama and flashback. This technique makes for an engrossing and inspirational read. Highly recommended for those who have had bypass surgery, those who know someone who will, or for just those who enjoy reading true stories set within the modern medical world.

We all have a heart--a story well worth reading,
By Robert E. Keesey "WC Keesey" (Harrisburg, PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Hands Upon My Heart: My Journey Through Heart Disease and Into Life (Paperback)
Every person with a heart should read this book. Perry Foster gives an honest, unadulterated account of his most personal thoughts and feelings. He takes the reader through the medical procedures reflecting his honest emotions and fears at every step. His accounts are interspersed with flashbacks of his family and friends, tenderizing the harsh realities of his horrendous journey, and exposing the source of his strength.
Everyone in the world knows someone who's gone through this agony and personal terror. Those of us who had to sit back and watch can now see, through Mr. Foster's eyes the feelings of our loved ones. A book deserving of more accolades than I can express, well done Perry. Reviewed by Wanda C. Keesey
