Frank C. Humphrey has accomplished what few writers can in their first novel in that he successfully tells two stories at the same time....except they are a century apart. His masterful weaving of suspense through both time periods kept me turning pages until I finished the book in one evening. If you like Westerns, rural drama, and suspense...with a bit or horror to make you look over your shoulder every once in awhile, this is a book you will enjoy.
