I bought this item while on a trip to New York. While I was there, all my info on my visor went corrupt. At that point, I went out and bought this little item. So far, its been great. The reason I gave it a 5 is for its durability. I had, like I usually do with many things, left the module in my pocket overnight in the pants I had on the floor. However, my parents had decided to take those pants and wash them. Once through the washing machine and a run through the dryer. It got out and I was sure it was dead, but nevertheless curious. So, I put it in the visor, and much to my surprise, IT WORKED! Whereas I wouldnt try this at home, its amazing how tough these modules are. Handspring makes the best!

Hotsyncing with the Visor can be a pain: it takes a long time and it's sometimes dificult to get the Visor to sit it's in cradle. When you want to put files from your Visor onto the computer, there's no alternative, but if you're just backing up files, this module is excellent. You press one button, wait a minute, and everything is backed up. This is especially important because I've found that replacing batteries in the Visor sometimes deletes the data. Restoring from the backup module is then a one step process. Retoring from hotsync would first entail reinstalling all of the software and then hotsyncing the data. It's a little pricey and is something of a luxury, but it makes life much easier, especially if you're on the go.

I hot sync with a backup buddy already. However, I travel quite a bit, and this neat little module is just the best. It is very easy to use. . . simply put in the slot and tap an icon. . . and then you have a backup with you at all times, even when you can't get to your desktop.

Everything should be this easy.You put the module in the slot and tap the backup icon,And,it does it amazing!!!!!!I love this product.

I brought this module years ago to backup my visor, especially since I did not own a computer at the time. It was a lifesaver, allowing me to restore everything upon replacing batteries. There were a few times I misplaced the visor in the house and (of course two months or so later) once I found it the batteries were completely dead. The backup module restored everything perfectly.

It is exactly what I needed. I got the PDA and it didnt have the "brain" part. luckily i found this @ a low price and now I have my whole PDA and couldn't be happier.
